Managing Absences

This guide explains how to view and manage your absence records in the Students Portal.

Accessing Your Absence Records

  1. Log in to your Students Portal account.
  2. From the dashboard, click on the "Absences" option in the main menu.
  3. You'll be directed to the Absences page, which displays a list of all your recorded absences.

To find specific absence records more easily:

  1. Use the filter options at the top of the absences list.
  2. Filter by date range, subject, or status.
  3. Click "Apply Filters" to update the list based on your selections.
  4. Click "Clear Filters" to return to the complete list view.

  1. Click on any absence record in the list.

Providing Justification for an Absence

If you need to provide justification for an unexcused absence:

  1. Navigate to the specific absence record.
  2. Click on the "Provide Justification" button.
  3. Complete the form with the necessary information:
  4. Click "Submit" to send your justification for review.

Absence Notifications

The Students Portal can send you notifications about your absences:

To manage these notifications:

  1. Go to your Profile page.
  2. Navigate to the "Notifications" section.
  3. Enable or disable the types of absence notifications you wish to receive.

Absence Reports

To generate a report of your absences:

  1. On the Absences page, look for the "Generate Report" button.
  2. Select the time period for the report (e.g., Current Term, Academic Year, Custom Range).
  3. Choose the format for your report (PDF, Excel, etc.).
  4. Click "Generate" to create and download the report.
